Earth " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Nelson Nap Lange, Jr. the former Merlyn Ruth Broussard, 76, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Allen Breaux officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, May 6, 2011 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A Native of Henry and a resident of Erath Mrs. Lange died at 1:45AM on Friday, May 6, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends. She enjoyed having friends over daily for coffee. She was also known for, bathing newborn babies of those she knew and loved; working in her yard in her garden or with her flowers; and cooking for family and babysitting her grandchildren. She is survived by a son, Kerry Lange and his wife Jackie of Henry; three daughters, Donna Breaux and her husband C.J. of Reddell, Monica Daniels and her husband Bill of Hayes, and Kittie Durman and her husband Scott of Erath; a sister, Emmarine Morvant; nine grandchildren, Tricia Touchet, Reagan Touchet, John Buck Touchet, Casey Lange, Ty Lange, Tecia Vidrine, Sarah Denais, Tristin Bouillion, and Jordan Durman; and Eighteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Nap Lange, Jr.; parents, Emile and Delzire Schexnayder Broussard; a daughter, Carla Bourgeois; two brothers, Purvis Broussard and Dave Broussard; and two grandchildren, Jarret and Jonah Touchet. Serving as pallbearers will be Casey Lange, Ty Lange, Tristin Bouillion, Buck Touchet, Martial Broussard, and David Broussard. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Ronald Morvant. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Erath Volunteer Fire Dept., Concepts of Care, St. Theresa Hospice, Cancer Centers of Acadiana, and her sitters for the exceptional care and help with Mrs. Lange, especially Diane Harrington and Deanette Delahoussaye who were with her during her final moments. Also, their appreciation for Jeneal Broussard for her exceptional friendship and support over the past 43 years. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
