Youngsville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Ivan T-Bud J. Savoie, Sr., 79, will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, March 21, 2011 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Mouton officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 9:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, March 21, 2011 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at St. Anne Mausoleum. A native of Cankton and a resident of Youngsville Mr. Savoie died at 9:40PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at his residence. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy; was a former member of the Lions Club; and was the former owner of T-Buds Bar and Grill. He is survived by three sons, Ivan J. Savoie, Jr. of Youngsville, Reggie Savoie and his wife Laurie of Youngsville, and Byron Savoie and his companion Linda Landry of Lafayette; a sister, Lola Savoie David of Youngsville; four grandchildren, Derek Savoie, Morgan Savoie, Adrienne Savoie, and Logan Savoie; a dear friend, Toni Busby; a niece, Marguerite David; and a nephew, Dwight David. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leanard and Rose Bernard Savoie; and an aunt who was his second mother, Ethel Bernard. Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Savoie, Byron Savoie, Reggie Savoie, Gerald Comeaux, Marion Burley, and Dennis Broussard. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ivan J. Savoie, Jr., Dwight David, and Lucas Denais. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Cole and his staff and the staff of Hospice of Acadiana.
