Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Stafford James LeBlanc, 58, will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, October 18, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Paul Broussard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 2:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, October 18, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Mr. LeBlanc will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native and resident of Erath, Mr. LeBlanc died at 11:10AM on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at his residence. He was a 1970 graduate of Erath High School and worked for Odeco/Diamond Offshore for 30 years. He enjoyed the last years of his retirement spending time with his family and grandchildren. A gentle spirit with a caring heart, Mr. LeBlanc was loved by all and will be dearly missed. He loved gardening, cooking outdoors, watching sports, camping and especially spending time with his family and friends. Mr. LeBlanc was a very determined and self-motivated man. Known for his quick wit and kindness, he was a jokester who delighted in helping others and bringing a smile to their faces. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dianna Touchet LeBlanc of Erath; five children, Natalie LeBlanc of Erath, Lance LeBlanc and his fiance Amy Broussard of Youngsville, Marseille Duhon Ritchey and her husband Scott Ritchey of Erath, Christine Duhon of Church Point, and Paula Duhon Bernard and her husband Jude Bernard of Erath; six grandchildren, Keisha Menard Dautreil of New Iberia, Angelica Premeaux of Lafayette, Austin Bernard, Alex Bernard, Anabella Ritchey, and Gage Ritchey all of Erath; two great grandchildren, Ava Dautreil of New Iberia and Aubrey David of Lafayette; one brother, Hadwing LeBlanc of Erath; three sisters, Della Lopez of Erath, Leana Richard of Abbeville, and Eltrid Landry of Coteau; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simonette and Edith Bouillion LeBlanc; and two brothers, Dallas LeBlanc and Hargest LeBlanc. Serving as pallbearers will be Jude Bernard, Scott Ritchey, Larry Landry, Barry Landry, James Bright and Craig Richard. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Hadwing LeBlanc, Austin Bernard, Alex Bernard and Gage Ritchey. The LeBlanc family would like would like to extend a very special thanks to Quince at Journey Hospice, Professional Arts Pharmacy and all who offered their prayers and support during his final days.
