Charles "Charlie" White, Jr.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 12:00 PM until 11:00 PM and resume on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Charlie passed away on Monday, November 18, 2013, at 4:05 PM upon arrival at a local hospital.

As a Coach and Teacher at Catholic High School, he inspired his students through his love of the game, often following his athletes throughout their sporting careers. He was an avid sports fan, especially for LSU and the Saints.

He was a former Supervisor with Union National Life Insurance Company and a Salesman at J. P. Thibodeaux Automotive.

A gentle man who touched the hearts of many, Charlie was loved by the community and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He had immense love and dedication for his parents and showed much love and joy for his nieces and nephews.

His legacy of love, humility and kindness will live forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Deborah Comeaux Debbie White and her companion Richard Butch Boutte of New Iberia; his loving girlfriend, Tari Barras of Loreauville; his brother, Beau J. White and his finacee Kailey Farmer of New Iberia; his godfather and uncle, James R. Comeaux and his wife Karen of New Orleans, his uncle, James Butch White and his wife Debra of New Iberia; his aunts, Tina C. Broussard and her husband Jude of Youngsville, Tammy C. Ugland and her husband Wade of Mt. Olive, AL, Becky Gromer and her husband Jack of Baton Rouge and his aunt and god mother, Barbara White Mazerole of New Iberia; his nephews, Laith, Kyzer and Ryker White; his nephews, Luke and Ethan Hebert; his niece, Mia Hebert; his nephew, Ty Barras and his niece, Lilly Barras and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Clark White, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, M. James and Shirley Comeaux; his paternal grandparents, Jessie M. Pop and Louise White; his uncle, Jessie M. White, Sr. and his aunt, Shelia White.

Pallbearers will be Beau White, Butch White, Jack Gromer, Paul Dugas, Ryan Metz and B. J. Girouard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sean Boudreaux, John Davis, Art Mazerole, Jr., James R. Comeaux and Richard Boutte.
