Erath " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Paul Harrington the former Rita Hebert, 94, will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Austin Lege officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Friday, January 21, 2011 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 9:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum. A native of Prairie Gregg and a lifelong resident of Erath, Mrs. Harrington died at 2:51PM on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Abbeville General Hospital. Mrs. Rita enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for her family and also sold Avon which is how she met her dear friend Lona Pontiff Broussard. She is survived by three sons, LeLand Paul Harrington and his wife Barbara of Erath, Joseph Glenn Harrington of Pearl River, MS and John Len Harrington; a daughter, Deanna Granger and her husband Steve of Erath; six grand children, Leland Paul Harrington, Jr. and his wife Rebecca, David Scott Harrington and his wife Dana, Eric Stephen Granger and his wife Sheri, Monica Calvert and her husband Keith, Nathan Charles Granger and his wife Dana, and Ryan Harrington; fourteen great grandchildren; a sister, Therese Hebert Delcambre Sandoz of Delcambre; and a special sister in law, Willa Rodrigue Hebert Bertelsman of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul Harrington; her parents, Odrey and Cecile Dugas Hebert; four brothers, Abel Hebert, Presley Hebert, J.P. Hebert, and Olton Hebert; and two sisters, Elta Hebert Oliva and Gladys Hebert Blanchard. Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Granger, Leland Paul Harrington, Jr., David Harrington, Keith Calvert, Ross Granger, and Quentin Harrington. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Eric Granger, Ryan Harrington, Bernie Bertelsman, Mike Viator, Boyd Oliva, Gaylan Hebert, Neil Hebert, Virgil Hebert, Carl Delcambre, and Louis Hebert. Mrs. Harringtons family would like to extend a special thanks to Eastridge Nursing Home, the staff of Abbeville General Hospital, Dr. Ronnie Lahasky, and special caregiver Christine Levine.
