Irene Lopez Trim

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Trim passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011 at 5:40 AM at her residence. She was a member of St. Anns Alter Society at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was a religion teacher for 37 years and was named coordinator over religion teachers at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. A very dedicated Catholic, she loved giving and was devoted to family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Ski Trim of Loreauville and Drake Trim and his wife Dina of New Iberia; her daughter, Melodie Trim Darbonne of New Iberia; her sister, Hazel Pattillo of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Dylan Trim, Dodie Ransonnet, Blake Trim, Shannon Trim and Chelsea Trim Faucheaux and her great grandchildren, Trey Ransonnet, Jacob Faucheaux, Cassidy Trim and Nina Trim.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Trim, Sr.; her parents, Charles and Sylavina Romero Lopez and her sisters, Esther Broussard, Joyce Talbot and Velta Breaux.

Pallbearers will be Drake Trim, Dylan Trim, Trey Ransonnet, Hunter Bonin, Blaise Talbot and Ski Trim.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charlsie Talbot, Sonny Broussard, Royce Breaux and Gail Boudreaux.
