Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Ira Raymond Daigle, Jr. Age 66, at 11:00AM Thursday February 10, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Jeanerette with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Mausoleum. Visitation will be Wednesday February 9, 2011 from 5:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Thursday from 8:00AM until service time. Musical selections of Ave Maria, On Eagles Wings, Be Not Afraid and Here I Am Lord will be performed by Jodi Bollick. A resident of New Iberia and native and longtime resident of Jeanerette, Ira died Monday February 7, 2011 at 10:45PM at his residence in New Iberia. He was a member of The Woodworking Club who enjoyed woodworking and woodturning. After his retirement from Degussa Corporation after 40 years of service Ira worked with the Arc of Iberia. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving as an MP. The family would especially like to thank Doctors James Dobbs and Jody Rosson and the entire staff of the LTAC unit at Lafayette General Medical Center and the ICU department of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Totsy Landry Daigle of New Iberia; children, Brent Daigle and wife Marie and their children, Bradley, Taylor and Kelsey all of Jeanerette, Kristi D. Cagnina and husband Phillip and their children Tyler and Dylan all of New Iberia, Clint Daigle and wife Heather and their children, Camden and Riley all of Rayne, Torey D. Musso and husband Matthew and their children, Victoria, Gabi, Landon, Josh, Jennifer, Angela and Alicia all of New Iberia and Lindsy D. Segura and husband Coby and their children, Ory, Caleb, Alex and Breigh all of New Iberia; one sister, Lana Daigle Rentz and husband Kline of Jeanerette, one brother, Louis Paul Daigle of Broussard, his stepmother, Lorraine Daigle of Baldwin and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ira Raymond Daigle, Sr. and Dorette Bonin Daigle and his Godmother, Louella Hebert. Pallbearers will be Clint, Brent and Louis Daigle, Phillip Cagnina, Matthew Musso, Coby Segura and Tyler Businelle.
