Lilia Beslin Hebert

New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Harold J. Hebert, Sr. the former Lilia Beslin, age 92, on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating.Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery.

A native of Peebles Plantation near Lydia and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hebert died on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 9:37 AM at her residence.

Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 8:00 AM until service. A rosary will be recited on Friday at 6:30 PM in the funeral home.

Mrs. Hebert was a graduate of New Iberia High School.

She is survived by her children: Dr. Harold J. Hebert, Jr. and his wife Brenda Jacobs of New Iberia, Daniel W. Hebert and his wife Martha Sealy of Baton Rouge, Paul J. Hebert and his wife Carolyn Angers of Lafayette, Mary Frances Hebert LeBlanc of Lafayette, Richard F. Hebert and his wife Scotty Vince of New Iberia, one surviving brother: DeBlanc (Dubby) Beslin of St. Martinville, and her 14 grandchildren: Dr. Harold J. Hebert, III, and his wife Beth, Michelle Hebert Chustz, Courtney Dawn Hebert, Rebecca Hebert, Lori H.DeBlieux and her husband Richard, Elizabeth Hebert, Emily H. Chandler and her husband Clay, Andre Paul Hebert, Henri Paul Hebert, Marie L. Collins and her husband Clay, Anna Mary and her husband Matt, Natalie LeBlanc, Richard Alexander Hebert and his fianc Kacey Ortego and John Jennings Hebert.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Harold J. Hebert, Sr., her parents: Frederick and Emilie DeBlanc Beslin, Her sisters: Gladys Mullet, Emily Armentor, Philomena Bergeron, Olympe DAlbor, Leona Bassin, and Marie Randall, Her brothers: Frederick, Ralph, Henri Francois (H.F.), Lewis, Joseph James (J.J.) and Gustave Beslin.

Pallbearers are her 5 grandsons: Dr. Harold J. Hebert, III, (Jay), Andre Paul Hebert, Henri Paul Hebert, Alex Hebert, and John Hebert, and her godchild: Mark F. Beslin.

The Hebert family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to her caretakers, Paramount Hospice of Acadiana, Janet Lewis, R.N., Mrs. Carolyn Guy, Mrs. Margie Batiste, Josephine Raymond, Maxine Randell, Terry Walker and Goldie Landry. Also, thanks to the following doctors and their office staff: Dr. Burt Bujard, Dr. Janice Nugent, Dr. Tim F. Himel, Dr. Donald W. Henagan. Lifelong friend: Mrs. Burt Mestayer Nereaux and countless Loving nieces and nephews.
