Abbeville - Funeral Services for Mr. Rudolph Campbell, Jr.,72, will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Lighthouse for Jesus Church with Pastor Donnie Bolden, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be at Lighthouse for Jesus Church on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 10:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at Pleasant Green Cemetery. Mr. Campbell a native and resident of Abbeville died at 2:40PM on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at a Lafayette Hospital. He was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Mr. Campbell had been a self employed cement finisher for 33 years. He was also known for his enjoyment of sports and singing. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lorena Coleman Campbell of Abbeville; two sons, Graylin Campbell and his wife Deena of Scott and Allen Arclies and his wife Carla of Abbeville; four daughters, Farrell C. Lewis and her husband Gregory of Abbeville, Rulanda Briggs and her husband Aaron of Abbeville, Dione Broussard and her husband Michael of Abbeville, and Devan Nicole Broussard and her husband Aidan Moto of Abbeville; six brothers, Calvin Campbell of Port Arthur. TX, Oris Jones of Neptune, NJ, Lee Arthur Campbell of Houston, TX, J.L. Campbell of Indiana, Allen Ray Campbell of Indiana, and Larry Campbell of California, four sisters, Mattie McGinnis of Abbeville, Bernice Broussard of Abbeville, Anna Marie Bolden of Abbeville, and Trula Campbell of Abbeville; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gaynell Robinson Campbell; his parents, Rudolph Campbell, Sr. and Vernice Joiner Campbell; a brother Youmeller Campbell; a sister, Shirley Rockette; and a niece Stephanie Campbell. Serving as pallbearers will be Elder James Johnson, Elder Calvin Broussard, Elder Kenneth Broussard, Elder Jeremy Johnson, Elder Douglas Sampy, and Elder Dale Thomas. Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Calvin Campbell, Oris Jones, LeArthur Campbell, Joe Lewis Campbell, Allen Ray Campbell, Larry Campbell, Graylin Campbell, Allen Arclies, Michael Broussard, Gregory Lewis, Aaron Briggs, and Aidan Moto Broussard.
