Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Donald Paul Pepper the former Rita Hebert, Age 90, at 10:00AM Saturday October 16, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. Johns Mausoleum. Visitation will be Friday October 15, 2010 from 9:00AM till 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Saturday October 16, from 8:00AM until service time. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Pepper died Wednesday October 13, 2010 at 7:30AM at her residence in Jeanerette. Her greatest joy in life was caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic who lived her whole life around the teachings of the church. She worked for T.A.R.C. in Houma as a bus assistant. She enjoyed going to Maison Teche nursing home to assist the patients when they played bingo. Survivors include two sons, Ronald Pepper and wife Linda of Houma and Randy Pepper and wife Lovina of Jeanerette; two sisters, Rena Delaney and Theresa Lancon both of Jeanerette; a daughter-in-law, Diane Pepper of New Iberia; grandchildren, Ricky, Vickie, Donnie, Terry, Jason, Clint, Dustin and Shane Pepper; step grandchildren, Mack, Robin, Rusty and Nick Sonnier, 12 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Paul Pepper; a son, Donald Lee Pepper; her parents, Clebert and Melodia Gary Hebert; brothers, Oswald Gray , Jules Black , Lee, Jeanne and Henry Hebert and two sisters Mary Gibson and Evelyn Smith.
