Joseph "Joe" Bennett, Jr.

A native of New Orleans and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bennett died Wednesday October 6, 2010 at 10:00 AM in a local health care facility. He was owner/operator of Joe Bennett Auto Paint and Body Repair Shop.

Mr. Bennett is survived by his children, Randy Bennett, Raqueal Martinez of New Iberia, Nichole Landaverde of New Iberia, Florence Vidrine, Joey Bennett of New Iberia and Todd Bennett; Step-sons Steven Bourque of New Iberia, and Jude Romero of New Iberia; grandchildren, Natassja Ledet, Dominique Camacho, Gabriella Landaverde, Alisia Landaverde, Alex Bennett, Skylar Bourque, Shea Bourque, Stevie Bourque and Sammi Jo Bourque; Great-grandchild Angelo Ledet; a brother, Luke Bennett of New Iberia; his sisters, Elizabeth "Appie" Davis of New Iberia and Trudy LeBouef of Prairieville.

Mr. Bennett was preceeded in death by his parents, Joseph Bennett Sr. and Elverta Lancon Bennett, his brothers Henry Bennett and Ronald A. Bennett, his sister Catherine Murray and his grandson Seth Landry.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Bennett, Dominique Camacho, Alex Bennett, Steven Bourque, Mike Camacho, and Jude Romero.
