Ermal Lea Berry Farmer

Jeanerette- Funeral services will be conducted for Ermal Lea Berry Farmer, age 86, Monday May 9, 2011 at 2:00pm at Beau Pre Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. Scott Bullock officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation will be Monday May 9, 2011 at David Funeral Home- Jeanerette beginning at 9:00am until service time.

A native of Tulsa, OK and resident of Lafayette, Ermal Lea died Thursday May 5, 2011 at 8:20am in a Lafayette health care facility. She retired from Iberia Parish School Board after 25 years of service. Ermal Lea was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and former director of the HUD Program in Jeanerette.

She is survived by her children, Mary Lynn Godley of Lafayette; Randall Godley of New Iberia; Jane Racca and husband Percy of Broussard; Jean Dugas and husband Kenneth of Crowley; James Farmer and wife Madeleine of New Iberia; and Lea Loftin and husband Clint of Coteau ; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Vernon Berry and Mary Powell Berry, her sister, Ellen Rice and her granddaughter, Kelly Clement.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Clement, Kyle Clement, Travis Godley, Michael Godley, Daniel Racca, Michael Dugas, Alex Farmer and Beau Colletti.
