New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Donald Donny Kelehan, Sr. age 70, Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 11:00AM at David Funeral Home Chapel in New Iberia with Pastor Terrel Reed officiating. Visitation will begin Friday, November 12, 2010 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of a rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Saturday, November 13, 2010 from 8:00AM until the time of service. Inurnment will be at a later date. A native of New Iberia and resident of Houston, TX, Mr. Kelehan died Monday, November 8, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Kelehan was soon to be ordained as a minister, he recently earned his shall of ordination; an accomplishment he was very proud of. Donny loved his children and was proud of each. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping; his true hobby and top priority was his hair; a memory that will last, with those closest to him. Mr. Kelehan is survived by his wife, Lydia Oubre Kelehan of Lafayette; his children, Derek Kelehan, Sr. of Lafayette; Angel Kelehan of Houston, TX; Troy Kelehan of Coteau; Kevin Kelehan of Broussard; Donald Kelehan, Jr. of Lafayette; Shane Kelehan of Marshall, TX and Shaun Kelehan , M.D. of Marshall, TX; his sister, Patricia Kelehan Sky Eagle of Baton Rouge; his brother, Tim Kelehan of New Iberia; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Kelehan was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Winston Kelehan and Mable Comeaux Kelehan, his brother, Kenneth R. Kelehan, his sister, Sharon L. Kelehan and his grandson, Derek Kelehan, Jr. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Leleux, Nicholas Kelehan, Christopher Kelehan, Zachary Kelehan, Travis Kelehan, Lance Kelehan, Justin Kelehan and Andrew Kelehan.
