New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Bob Ray Joseph Broussard, 83, on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM.

A native of Weeks Island and a residence of Lydia, Mr. Broussard died on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 PM in a New Iberia hospital. He was employed for thirty-five years with Morton Salt where he retired as a Supervisor. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Lydia. Mr. Broussard was an avid Camper, he loved working with wood, and loved spending time with his Family, he also loved spending time with his beloved cat Molly.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Breaux Broussard of New Iberia; his daughters, Ruthine Daniel and Angelina Jenkins and her husband Michael all of Lydia; his brother, Wayne Broussard and his wife Betty of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Beth Boughton and her husband Tiger of New Iberia, Jude Johnson and his wife Jill of Loreauville and Jeremy Jenkins of Austin, TX and his great grandchildren, Braylyn Richard, Ashlyn Boughton both of New Iberia, Hannah Johnson and Madison Johnson both of Loreauville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Broussard and Louise Broussard Broussard, his brother, John Broussard and his sister, Jane Prince.

Pallbearers will be Jude Johnson, Tiger Boughton, Dean Broussard, Lynn John Broussard, Steve Breaux and Troy Breaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harris Breaux, Michael Jenkins, Jeremy Jenkins, Daniel Prince, Lance Prince, Keith Landry, Johnathon Landry and Wayne Broussard.
