Abbeville " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Otis Savoy, the former Enola Bourque, 92, on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at 1:30PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Readings for the funeral mass will be given by Jeffery Bourque. Interment will follow in St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM and resume on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010 at 8:00AM until services. Rosaries will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday at 5:00PM by the Catholic Daughters and at 7:00PM. A native of Vermilion Parish and resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Savoy died on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at 3:09PM in an Abbeville hospital. She was a caretaker for 27 years. She was a former member of the Homemakers Club and the Golden Age Club. She loved gardening and sewing. She is survived by her daughter, Dean Delahoussaye and her husband Russell of Erath; her grandsons, Bryan Delahoussaye and his wife Cynthia of Erath, Rusty Delahoussaye and his wife Shawnee of Lafayette and Randy Chauvin and his wife Rhonda of Erath; her granddaughters, Lori Arnaud and her husband Mike of Carencro and Fenyx Sloan and her companion Cecie of Lafayette; her step-daughter, Lena Bernard of Delcambre; her step-son, Curley Savoy and his wife Jane of Keller, TX; her step-grandsons, Cliff Bernard and his wife Nanette of Henry, Blaise Bernard of Erath, Jude Bernard and his wife Paula of Henry, Johnny Savoy and his wife Rosalin of Lafayette, Paul Savoy and his wife Melinda of Texas and Neil Savoy and his wife Sandy of Texas; her step-granddaughters, Denise Bernard of Erath, Theresa Maine and her husband Steve of Farmersville, TX, Diana Green and her husband Jim of Texas and Patricia and her husband Pete of Texas. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and 23 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Savoy; her parents, Arthe J. Bourque and Edith Lege Bourque; her first husband, Lucien Viator; her daughter, Flaudry Touchet; her sisters, Anna Mae Bourque, Quida Morvant and Delores Broussard; her brother, Dudley Bourque; her grandson, Sandy Chauvin and her step-granddaughter, Allie Bernard. Pallbearers will be Bryan Delahoussaye, Rusty Delahoussaye, Derek Delahoussaye, Mike Arnaud, Randy Chauvin and Terry Broussard. The family would like to give special thanks to her special nieces, Helen Frederick and Linda Bourque; East Ridge Nursing Home Staff, Abbeville General Hospital Nursing Staff, Dr. Ronald Lahasky, Hospice of Acadiana, her Nurses and Dr. Corbett Lebouef for the care given to Mrs. Savoy.
