New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Leslie J. Bienvenu, 68, on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at St. Peters Catholic Church with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Marcellus Mausoleum in Rynella. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 PM. A native of Weeks Island and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bienvenu passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 6:40 AM upon arrival a New Iberia hospital. He was a Lab Technician at Morton Salt for 38 years. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Diane Babin Bienvenu; his son, Kevin Bienvenu ; his granddaughter, Leslie W. Bienvenu and his sister, Janet Desormeaux all of New Iberia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Evelyn Neuville Bienvenu. Pallbearers will be John Viator, Todd Migues, Mike Romero, Kim Desormeaux, Kris Viator and Bryce Migues. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Desormeaux, Olan Fremin, Casey Fremin, Gayle Derouenand all his special buddies.
