Daniel Joseph "Dan" Hymel

Jeanerette " Funeral Services will be conducted for Daniel Joseph Dan Hymel, Age 71, at 11:00AM Saturday April 16, 2011 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow at Loisel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00AM until service time. A Rosary will be prayed Saturday at 10:00AM. A native and longtime resident of Jeanerette Mr. Hymel died Wednesday April 13, 2011 at 6:40AM in a New Iberia health care facility. Mr. Dan enjoyed gardening and handicrafts. The family would especially like to thank the staff members at Belle Teche Nursing Center and Hospice of Acadiana for their excellent care and genuine affection. Survivors include a brother Harold James Hymel and wife Betty of New Iberia; 3 nieces Rhoda Ann Hymel of Gretna, Myriah Gage and husband Carl of Berryville, Arkansas and Brandy Cooper and husband Robert of Missouri and 2 aunts, Theresa Lancon and Rena Delaney and husband Sam both of Jeanerette. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Joseph Hymel and Mary Ann Hebert Gibson. Pallbearers will be family and friends. David Funeral Home, 400 Provost St. Jeanerette, La.
