Phyllis Toups

A native and resident of Abbeville, with Erath being her home town, Phyllis died at 2:55PM on Friday, January 21, 2011 at her residence with her loving family surrounding her. She had 61 earthly years to live, laugh and love everyone she knew. She will always be remembered for her loving, caring forgiving nature. Her famous words were God didnt make no junk ! She always believed on giving someone a second, third, fourth, etc, chance. Phyllis never held a grudge and was always there when a family or friends needed her. She was not only a great mother to her children and grandchildren, she was a friend. Many will miss her and remember her by her strength and know she is still watching over us. She lived everyday life with morals and values.

She is survived by her six children - son, Randall Roy and his wife Rachel of Abbeville; daughters, Angela Roy, Davina Roy and Darren Blanchard , Adelia DeDe and her husband Donnie Matte, Natalie Roy and Travis Citrano, and Rachel Roy and Michael Warren all of Abbeville; Brother Adam M. Toups and wife Frances of Erath; and sister Cheryl Kitty LeBlanc and her husband Jude of Abbeville; and daughter # 6 daughter Racheal Hoffpauir; sixteen grandchildren, Brodie, Adam, Lyndsi, Kayle, Zac, Khoty, Eric, Lani, Hali, Jada, Troyce, Blair, Brenz, Sadi, Alli, and Baby; two great grandchildren, Layla and Baby Hebert, extended grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Maddox, Dominik, Aaron, Dane, Madison, Banjo and Sox, Petals, Lola, and her two special friends Slim and Ele.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Myrtice Moss Toups; and a brother, Davie Toups and special aunt Ella Honey Moss.

The family wishes to thank everyone who has helped through prayer and love in our time of need. Thanks to Concepts of Care of Erath and St. Theresa Hospice of New Iberia. Also thanks to Father Manny and Paw Bourque for special prayers, and her second family, Champagnes.
