Harry G. "Bud" Mills, Jr.

A native of South Bend, Indiana and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mr. Mills died Wednesday February 16, 2011 at 9:50AM in a New Iberia hospital.

Mr. Bud enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, playing cards and scrabble. He was a Mason and a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in the Vietnam War. He was also a safety engineer in the oilfield.

Survivors include his wife, Noelie Himel Mills of New Iberia; children, Mark D. Mills and wife Traci of Trenton, Ohio, Nancy M. Callais and husband Tim of Katy, Texas, James E. Mills of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Ann Coleman of Lake Charles; two sisters, Patricia Green and husband Ward of Oceanside, California and Mary Price of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon and Jeremy Callais both of Katy, Texas, Zachary Mills of Columbus, Georgia, Staci Spaulding of Trenton, Ohio, Eric Coleman of Lake Charles, Jacob Coleman of Shreveport, Meagan Coleman of Leesville and Chelsea Coleman of Deridder.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harry G. Mills Sr; mother, Donna Rose Hildabridle; stepmother, Marjorie Guard Mills and his first wife, Mary Joyce Griffin Mills.

Pallbearers will be Mark, James and Zackarie Mills and Tim, Brandon and Jeremy Callais.
