Erath- Funeral Services will be held for Wanda Landry Reed, 81, on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at David Funeral Home of Erath at 3:00PM with Deacon Randy Hyde officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Cemetery in Erath at a later date. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 10:00AM until service time, with a recitation of the rosary at 1:00PM. A native of Abbeville and a longtime resident of Erath Mrs. Reed passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at her residence. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother who loved to cook, bake, sew and read and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Reed is survived by her daughter, Donna Guilbeaux of Erath; son, John Reed and his wife Franci of Natchez; daughters, Joy Tribe and her companion Brent Moore of Erath and Kay Stoute and her companion Benny Thibodeaux also of Erath; sons, Bobby Reed and his wife Sherrie of Maurice, Weston Reed and his wife Phallie of Erath and Preston Reed and his wife, Melissa of Minden; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and one sister, Margie Touchet and her husband, Ronald of Erath. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Reed; parents, Mavan and Eta Soirez Landry; step-mother, Edith Dubois Landry; daughter, Edith Reed; son Thomas Reed; granddaughter, Nicki Michelle Reed; grandson, Joe Navarro and three sisters, Dean Frederick, Lou Lemaire and Leta Landry. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ronald Lahasky, Dr. Luis Meza and staff, Acadian Home Health Care of Abbeville and Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care of Jennings for the care given and respect shown by all to their Mother and her entire family.
