Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate the life of Mr. Robert Everett Moss, 46, will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, April 29, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Herb Bennerfeld officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 8:00AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. A native of Port Arthur, Texas and a resident of Erath, Mr. Moss passed away at 11:28AM on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at a local hospital. Robert was a loving husband, father, son-in-law, and uncle. After graduating from Erath High School, Robert enlisted and served with the Army National Guard for six years. He was an accomplished pilot in both planes and helicopters. He was lucky as to have a job that he loved. He was employed at El Paso Corporation for 20 years and was currently the Offshore Aviation Manager and took many men under his wing to assist in training or mentoring. That's who he was, always helping, sharing knowledge and showing kindness and fairness to all. Everett had a unique outlook on life and everyone felt love and happiness in his presence. He loved traveling, hunting, fishing and hanging with family and friends. There was never a minute missed in living his life. He will be sadly missed by his family, extended family, friends, and co-workers. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Stoute Moss of Erath, children, Alfred John A. J. , Shelby Hannah, and Riley Daniel Moss all of Erath; mother and father-in-law, Clovis and Stella Stoute of Erath; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Ella Mae Moss; maternal grandparents, Robert and Agnes Boudreaux Moss; and paternal grandparents, Maurice and Mary Moss. Serving as pallbearers will be Sean Bodin, Ryan Kirkconnell, Paul Trahan, Guy Nerren, Nathan LeBlanc and Chris LeBlanc. David Funeral Home of Erath, 209 E.
