William Dooley

September 9, 1921 — June 12, 2011

Loreauville- Funeral services for Mr. William Dooley, age 89, will be conducted on Wednesday June 15, 2011 at 1:00PM with Fr. Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday June 14, 2011 at 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00PM. Visitation will resume the following day starting at 9:00AM until service time.

Mr. Dooley passed away Sunday June 12, 2011 at 11:45PM at Belle Teche Nursing Home. Mr. Dooley was an avid deer hunter and a member of the Woodmen of the World Lodge-34 in New Iberia.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mrs. Dolores Oubre Dooley of Loreauville; sons, Terry William Dooley and wife Kay of Loreauville, and Danny Jude Dooley and wife Mae of New Iberia; one daughter, Darlene Dooley of Avery Island; seven grandchildren, Suzy Duplantis, Gannon Dooley, Cory Dauterive, Ashley Derouen, Lauren Dooley, Lacy Dooley, and Jordy Louviere; two step-grandchildren, Aubrey Bourque and Jeremy Bourque; and eight great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Bernadette Hebert Dooley; brothers, Nelson Dooley, Renest Dooley, Bertrand Dooley, and Charles Dooley Jr.; and sisters, Louise Dooley Hebert, Ida Dooley Hebert, and Lula Mae Dooley McCloud.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Derouen, Danny Duplantis, Coy Duplantis, Jordy Louviere, Ed Oubre, and Ricky Lancon.

Honorary pallbearers are Timmy Lancon, and Curry Oubre Sr.

The family of Mr. Dooley would like to thank Heart of Hospice, Belle Teche Nursing Home, and the loving care given by Ms. Barbara Domingue, and Dr. Russell Romero.
