Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother Jeanerette- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Holland A. Borel, the former, Betty Arlene Faulk, age 84, Wednesday May 11, 2011 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church-Jeanerette with Pastor Wallace Millsaps officiating. Visitation will begin Wednesday May 11, 2011 at First Baptist Church-Jeanerette from 8:00am until service time. Interment will follow in Loisel Cemetery. A native of Franklin and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Borel died Monday May 9, 2011 at 10:02am at a local health care facility. Betty dedicated her life to her family, while working as a nurse she decided to place her husband and children before herself and her career. She was a gracious, loving and kind Wife, Mother and Grandmother; her love for Jesus was Bettys guiding light through her entire life. She was a First Baptist Church-Jeanerette Sunday School Teacher for 22 years. Betty enjoyed family reunions, eating boiled crawfish, Atlanta Braves Baseball, crocheting, reading the Bible and old hymns. Mrs. Borel is survived by her husband, Holland A. Borel of Jeanerette; her children, Debbie Borel Gamble and husband Lawrence of Richardson, TX; Isabelle Borel Bourque and husband Mike Bourque, Sr. of Lydia; Mark Andrew Borel and wife Lanie of New Iberia; Verne James Borel and wife Jan of Bluefield, VA; Martha Borel Sauce of Granbury, TX; Timothy Shane Borel and wife Coleen of Loreauville; and Daniel Scott Borel and wife Whittie of Jeanerette; her brother, Gene Faulk of New Iberia; grandchildren, Eldridge M. Bourque, Jr., John W. Bourque, Amy Claire Gracia, Nicole Michelle Merritt-Croft, Tommy Merritt, Jeff Merritt, Chris Merritt, Carrie Gamble, Ariel Borel, Brennan Borel, Casey Peltier, Gina McClurkan, Jamie Borel, Jessica Mikulskis, Jay Sauce, Rachael Bufkin, Joshua Borel, Dani Borel and Erin Borel. Betty is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Borel was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Faulk and Isabelle Dailey Faulk, brothers, Donald and Terry Faulk, sisters, Genevieve Adcock and Vera Williams. Serving as pallbearers will be Eldridge Mike Bourque, Jr., Jeff Merritt, Jay Sauce, Brennan Borel, Tommy Merritt and John W. Bourque. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Borel and Chris Merritt.
