New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Rev. Jimmy Lopez, Age 72, at 2:00PM Saturday April 30, 2011 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Elvin Norsworthy, Jon Robertson and Randy Dugas officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday April 29, 2011 from 5:00PM until 10:00PM and Saturday from 8:00AM until service time. A resident of Broussard and a native and longtime resident of Iberia Parish, Rev. Jimmy died Wednesday April 27, 2011 at 3:20PM in a Lafayette health care facility. Rev. Jimmy pioneered 5 churches in his lifetime. He was Pastor of Christ the Kings Church of Restoration in both Okmulgee, Ok. And New Iberia where lives, dreams and visions are being restored. He loved the Lord and shared Gods love with everyone. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and he enjoyed playing golf, fishing and caring for his family. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Barbara Fabre Lopez of Broussard; children, Gwen Morgan and husband Darren and Jamie Smith and husband George all of Lafayette and Frank Alfano and wife Susan of Tomball, Texas; grandchildren, Jeremy Chauvin, Jennifer Romero, Jamie Vaughn, Lance, Blake and Matthew Morgan, Kristy Stelly, Dusti, Frankie, Chelsea, Claire and Seth Alfano, Layla, Star and Layth and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Ann Lopez and his parents, Wesley Lopez and Eleanor Leleux Lopez.
