Abbeville- Funeral Services will be held for Timothy James Stanley, 52, Friday, April 22, 2011 at First Baptist Church in Abbeville at 1:00PM with Rev. Press Riley, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Abbeville officiating. Interment will follow services in St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville. Visitation will be Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 10:00AM until 10:00PM and will resume Friday, April 22, 2011 at 8:00AM until time of service. A native of Lafayette ; a longtime resident of Abbeville and a recent resident of Bixby, OK, Mr. Stanley passed away Friday, April 15, 2011 in DeQueen, AR. He was an Entrepreneur in the truest meaning of the word. He began and was currently owner and operator of several successful businesses, enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and truly loved him. He is survived by his son, Kelby James Stanley and his wife Tricia of Duson; daughter, Cisely Stanley Cormier ; grandson, Cameron Everette Etie and granddaughter, Aryelle Rose Cormier all of Broussard; grandson, Bryce Christopher Blasingame and grandson Cory James Stanley both of Duson; his childrens Mother, Annette Pontiff Stanley of Duson; four brothers and one sister. Mr. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Edwin Stanley, II and Anne Garnet Monceret Allsbrook and one brother. Serving as pallbearers will be John Brent Stanley, Jerry Edwin Stanley, III, Dale Lee Stanley, Carl James Pontiff, Danny Paul Pontiff, Brian Keith Pontiff, Mark Howard Stanley and Nicholas James Pontiff. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Everette Etie and Bryce Christopher Blasingame.
