Ann Landry David

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Lory David, the former, Ann Landry, age 91, Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00AM at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Fr. Gregory Chauvin officiating. Interment will follow in St. Marcellus Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with recitation of a rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Friday, March 11, 2011 from 8:00AM until service time.

A native of Delcambre and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. David died Wednesday, March 09, 2011 at 7:22AM in a local health care facility. Mrs. David retired as secretary from McIlhenny after 25 years. Mrs. David was a member of American Legion Auxillary #335 and St. Annes Alter Society. Her hobbies included, playing cards, Pokeno, reading the newspaper and word search and jigsaw puzzles. Anns most memorable times were those spent with her family.

Mrs. David is survived by her sister, Rita Davis of Erath; nieces and nephews, Louisa and Glenn Gray, loving caregivers, George and Lona Fay Deslatte and Greg and Vicky Dubois, all of New Iberia; anda hostofnieces and nephews.

Mrs. David was preceded in death by her husband, Lory David, her daughter, Mary Ann David, parents, Nicholas and Elodie Girourard Landry, sisters, Nina Primeaux, Nola Romero, Gertrude Dubois and Viola Dubois, brothers, Fualdes Uncle Too Too Landry, Lenies Landry, Calvin Landry, Sefrien Landry, Simon Landry and Oston To Ton Landry.

Serving as pallbearers will be George Deslatte, Caleb Evans, Greg Dubois, Dave Landry, Sylvester Vest Romero, Lynn Landry, Randall Landry and Tracy Landry.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. David Ditch and the nurses and staff of Acadian Home Care.
