Abbeville " A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Ogden A. T.B. Thibodeaux, 82, will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with Fr. Kenneth Mayne officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 9:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM Interment will follow at St. Paul Mausoleum. Mr. Thibodeaux born and raised in Henry and a resident of Abbeville died at 11:20PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 as a result of complications after surgery to correct a vascular condition. He worked in the drilling aspect of the oil industry for over 40 years, having worked for A.W. Eggleston, MGF, and Falcon Drilling from which he retired. He was also known for his enjoyment of gardening, cooking, canning, and growing Gladiola He is survived by two daughters, Gwen Vincent and her husband Steve of Erath and Vanessa T. Abshire and her companion Thomas Sweeney of Erath; a brother, Wilson Thibodeaux of Houston, TX; a sister, Loula Daigle of Alexandria, LA; four grandchildren, Blake Vincent, Laurie V. Touchet, Amy V. Nunez, and Paul Jacob Abshire; six great grandchildren; and a beloved pet, Curly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Dugas Thibodeaux, his parents Clemile Thibodeaux, Sr. and Emilda Broussard Thibodeaux; two brothers, Sheldon Thibodeaux and Clemile Thibodeaux, Jr.; and three sisters, Velmae Toups, Velma Landry, and Lelia Baudoin. Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Jacob Abshire, Steve Vincent, Blake Vincent, Scott Daigle, Wilson Thibodeaux, and Glen Michaud. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and Hospice of Acadiana.
