A native of New Iberia, and resident of Kaplan, Mr. Gajan died on Saturday, February 12, 2011. He was an avid outdoorsman and made his living as a commercial fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Landry Gajan and one son, Evan J. Gajan of Jeanerette, sister Lydia Daigrepont, her husband Ray of New Iberia and their children Vanessa and Lauren, sister Shiela Dainello, her husband Frank of College Station, TX and their child Gina, sister Gisele Fremin, her husband Wilma (T-Boy) of New Iberia and their child Quentin, sister Tina Louviere, her husband Irving (Vin) of Loreauville and their child Scotty, sister Jamie Gajan Prejean of New Iberia and her children Lyle and Whitney, mother-in-law Janet Landry of Jeanerette, sister-in-law Rebecca Patout, her husband Mark of Jeanerette and their children Allison, Sara, and Christopher, sister-in-law Wendy LeLeux and her husband Kenneth of New Iberia, sister-in-law Jamie Jolet of New Iberia and her children Lauren and Brock, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Julian M. Gajan, Sr. and Lena (Betty) Palazzo Gajan of New Iberia, a sister Charlene Gajan of New Iberia, father-in-law Winnie J. Landry of Jeanerette, and brother-in-law Linke Jolet of New Iberia.
