New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Norris J. Rodrigue the former Mary Lucy Rodrigue, Age 84, at 10:00AM Tuesday June 28, 2011 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Helens Cemetery in Florence. Visitation will be Monday June 27, 2011 from 3:00PM until 10:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Terrebonne parish, longtime resident of Jeanerette and current resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Rodrigue died Saturday June 25, 2011 at 8:22PM in a New Iberia health care facility. She enjoyed music, dancing and going to the casino. Survivors include her children, Ruby Thibodeaux and husband Raymond and Shirley Dore and husband Renes all of New Iberia, Ted Rodrigue and wife Nora of Franklin, Michael Rodrigue and wife Retha of Broussard, LeRoy Rodrigue and wife Jenny of Labadieville, Herbert Rodrigue and wife Shelia of Jeanerette, Ray Rodrigue and wife Millie of Coteau Holmes and Maurice Rodrigue and wife Hazel of Flippin, Arkansas; 27 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Rodrigue; a daughter, Mary Lee Rodrigue; her parents, Allen and Loreina Mars Rodrigue; a great grandson, Hunter Sam and her brothers, Leland, Lloyd, Murphy and Willie Rodrigue. Pallbearers will be Ted, Ray, Cody, Brock and Maurice Rodrigue, Jr. and Dwayne Dore. Honorary pallbearers will be Jamie and Travis Rodrigue, Renes Dore, Jr. and John Grant.
