Youngsville " Funeral Services will be held for Mr. Ervin Jon Gaspard, 33, at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Deacon Cody Miller officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary at 6:30PM and will resume on Thursday, December 23, 2010 from 8:00AM until service time. A native of Lafayette and resident of Youngsville, Ervin passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2010 doing what he loved. He was a skydiver with the Flying Dragons Skydiving Expedition Team and a member of the USPA. Ervin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Shelley DeBaillon Gaspard of Youngsville; his son, Kendall Jon Gaspard of Youngsville; his mother, Delores Chaumont of Youngsville; his siblings, Kayla Gaspard Lucas and husband Todd of Colorado, Kirby Jo Gaspard and wife Jenny of Oklahoma City, OK, Ashleigh Oster and husband Tom of Shreveport and Kari Loupe of Shreveport; maternal grandparents, Milton and Janie Arceneaux of Youngsville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Sandy DeBaillon of Lafayette; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and his constant canine companions, Sugar and Sassy. He was preceded in death by his father, Kirby Joseph Gaspard; his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Telice Gaspard; and his uncle, Ervin Arceneaux. Serving as pallbearers will be Kirby Gaspard, Stephen Bares, Chad Duhon, Jamey Begnaud, Todd Lucas and Greg DeBaillon. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Soignet, Jacqus DeMoss, Jason Romero, Dustin Daigle, Landon Fontenot, Tom Hippie Tharpe and TJ Middleton.
