Mouton Cove " Funeral services will be conducted for Annette Hardy Griffin, 95, on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Briggs United Methodist Church with Rev. Junius Egby officiating. Interment will follow in Briggs United Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Briggs United Methodist Church in Mouton Cove on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 beginning at 8:00 AM until services. A native and resident of Abbeville and a former resident of New Orleans, Mrs. Griffin died on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 7:30 AM in an Abbeville nursing facility. She was a retired License Practical Nurse. She loved reading, cooking, entertaining and did extensive traveling. She worked faithfully in her church, Hartzell United Methodist Church in New Orleans. She is survived by her sister, Frances Hardy of Abbeville and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Griffin; her first husband, Adam Guillory; her parents, Archie and Berdie Lenore Hardy; her sister, Cornelia Hardy Briggs and her brothers, Luther Hardy, Eugene Hardy and Rufus Hardy, Sr.. Pallbearers will be Roy Briggs, Joshua Briggs, Herman Lyons, III, Conrad Lyons, Darrel Briggs, Sr., Archie Hebert, Johnny Briggs and Elbert Dawson. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. James Haynes, Rev. Donald Lewis, Donald Casimere, I, Fred Bates, Douglas Cooksey, Darrel Briggs, Jr. and Robert Sloan.
