New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Eric Landry, the former, Dorothy Dot Bodin, age 68, Friday May 13, 2011 at 2:00pm at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Fr. Gregory Chauvin officiating. Interment will follow in St. Marcellus Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday May 12, 2011 from 3:00pm until 10:00pm with recitation of the Rosary at 6:45pm. Visitation will resume Friday May 13, 2011 from 8:00am until service time.

A native of Baltimore, MD and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Landry died Wednesday May 11, 2011 at 9:25 AM at her residence. Dots hobbies included gardening, crocheting, shopping at Goodwill and cooking. She was a Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed watching her favorite Nascar driver, Jeff Gordon. She was a graduate of NISH Class of 1960 and participated in monthly gatherings with fellow Alumni. Dot was a lector at St. Marcellus Catholic Church; her most cherished times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. Landry is survived by her husband, Eric Landry of New Iberia; her father, Curtis J. Bodin, Sr. of New Iberia; her daughters, Jennifer H. McPeters and husband Donald of Pineville; Pamela H. Garb of New Iberia; and Michelle H. Dutile and husband Todd of New Iberia; her grandchildren, Christopher McPeters and wife Emily of New Orleans; Andrew McPeters and wife Stacey of Baton Rouge; Kimberly Garb and T.J. Dutile, both of New Iberia; sisters, Dolores Lanza of New Iberia; Tina Pyne and husband Joe of Houston, TX; Kay Bodin of Birmingham, AL; brothers, Curt Bodin, Jr. and fiancee Debbie of Lafayette; Bobby Bodin and wife Liz of New Iberia; Ronnie Bodin, Sr. and wife Susan of Houston, TX; and Errol Bodin and wife Kristen of Standardsville, VA; brother-in-laws, Anthony Landry and wife Christine of New Iberia; Ronald Landry and wife Jackie of Lydia; sister-in-law, Virginia Pormier and husband Ed of Loreauville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Hermann, Jr. and her mother, Elda Richard Bodin.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Lanza, Robert Bodin, Jr., Ronald Bodin, Jr., Brad Bodin, C.J. Bodin and David Landry.
