A native of Erath and longtime resident of New Iberia Mrs. Broussard died Thursday March 31, 2011 at 5:00PM in a local hospital.
She was a 5 foot 2 inch Cajun, French speaking, feisty woman with a lot of character who ruled with authority. She loved life and caring for people. Mrs. Broussard also enjoyed gardening, being with family and friends and listening and dancing to French music. She was a big fan of professional wrestling.
Survivors include her children, Vernice M. Delahoussaye and husband Vernick of New Iberia, Madeline M. Monceaux of Youngsville, Brenda M. Romero and companion Milton Watson of Abbeville, Wanita M. Ransonet and husband Clifford, Dolores M. Thibodeaux and husband Kenneth, Judy Migues, Charlene M. Prejean and husband Jason, Cheryl Migues, Eugene Migues and wife Dorothy and Aldez Miguez, Jr. and wife Debra all of New Iberia; 36 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Aldes Migues, Sr.; her second husband, Wilton Broussard; parents, Dupre and Marie Primeaux Morvant; two sons, Minos Miguez and Edmond Migues; 5 siblings; a granddaughter, Christine Boutte, a grandson, Dwayne Allen Migues and a great granddaughter Tabatha Migues.
Pallbearers will be Ron, Edward and Brandon Migues, Jason Prejean, Christopher J. Veazey and Kenneth Thibodeaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clifford Ransonet, Greg and Seth Ryan Migues, Joey Veazey, Audie and Jason Boutte, Kasey, Derik and Daniel Thibodeaux, Shane Ransonet, Gene and Brad Prioux, Kurt, Kenneth and Keith Delahoussaye, Tyler Hebert,Nakia Romero, Jeremy Picardand Timothy Timmy Rabeaux.
