Lafayette - Funeral services will be conducted for Etta Hebert Picard, 89, at 1:00PM on Sunday March 27, 2011 at the David Funeral Home Chapel in Lafayette with Reverend George Vaniyepurackal officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 9:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume at 8:00AM on Sunday until service time. Interment will follow services at LeBlanc Cemetery in Erath. A native and long time resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Picard passed away Friday, March 25, 2011 at 12:15AM at Ltac of Acadiana in Lafayette. She enjoyed gardening, raking leaves in her yard and was well known for keeping her home spic and span . She is survived by her daughter, Ruby P. Trahan and her husband, Byron of Youngsville; sister, Helen Broussard of Erath; nephew, M.J. Hebert and his wife Gail of Youngsville; niece, Sandra Delatte and her husband Tommy of Denham Springs; very special great-niece, Kim Beadle and her husband Billy of Youngsville; great-great nephew, Logan Beadle; great-great niece, Olivia Beadle, both of Youngsville and several other great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabelus Picard; parents, Henry Hebert and Olive Bourque Hebert; brothers, Minos Joseph Hebert, Sr. and Lee Roy Hebert; niece, Marie Jeanette St. Marie; one nephew, Donald Ray Broussard; great-nieces, Michelle Prejean and Rachael Hebert. Serving as pallbearers will be Purvis Picard, Billy Beadle, Kenneth Bourque, James Bourque, Macky Reaux and Harry Landry, Jr. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at LTAC of Acadiana for their kind and loving care and Lona Bourque for all the homemade goodies .
