Amy Hollier Boutte

New Iberia- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Claude Boutte, the former, Amy Hollier, age 93, Monday, March 28, 2011 at 2:00PM at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 11:00AM until 9:00PM with recitation of a Rosary at 6:00PM . Visitation will resume Monday, March 28, 2011 from 9:00AM until service time with recitation of a Rosary at 12:30PM .

A native of Vermilion Parish and resident of New Iberia , Mrs. Boutte died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 7:20PM at Belle Teche Nursing Home. Mrs. Boutte worked for Trappeys for over 22 years. Mom-Mom enjoyed sewing, baking sweet dough pies and cooking on Saturdays for family gatherings. Mrs. Boutte was a Traiteurs; Cajun faith-based healing power that healed many family members and close friends.

Mrs. Boutte is survived by her daughter, Ruby Simon and husband Harry, son, Ricky Boutte and wife Anglie, all of New Iberia; grandchildren, Vickie Simon of New Iberia; Allison Latiolais and husband Gary of Breaux Bridge; Beau Boutte and wife Tiffany of Youngsville and Andr Boutte and Adrienne of New Iberia; great-grandchildren, Lance Cutrer and Monica of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Lacie, Jonathan and Justin Latiolais, all of Breaux Bridge; Emily Mendoza and Maryssa Boutte, both of New Iberia; sisters, Eula Romero of Coteau; Melva Baker of Mandeville and Earline Jenney of Crossville, TN.

Mrs. Boutte was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Boutte, parents, Edier and Antonia Romero Hollier, brothers and sisters, Edia Romero, Nedier Hollier, Nedia Romero, Euna Sherman and Cleaus Hollier.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Burt Bujard, Nurse Linda, and the entire staff at Belle Teche Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Boutte. The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratefulness to Mrs. Bouttes dearest friends, Ms. Mary, Ms. Delta and Ms. Olga; the care and love these women gave to Mrs. Boutte will be cherished forever.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Boutte, Beau Boutte, Andr Boutte, Lance Cutrer, Gary Latiolais, and Larry Jenney.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Simon, Allen Boutte, Jay Baker, James Jim Jenney and LeRoy Romero, John Maturin, and Cody Heinen.
