New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Raymond Leo Big Red Forster, Jr., Age 58, at 10:00AM Tuesday May 31, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic with Father Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be Monday May 30, 2011 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8:00AM until service time. Military graveside services will be conducted by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Forster died Friday May 27, 2011 at 12:30PM at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Alexandria. Mr. Forster was a disabled veteran who served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era aboard the USS America as a mechanic working on airplanes and helicopters. He enjoyed reading, puzzles, woodworking and working on his computer. He was also a true animal lover. The family would especially like to thank the 2nd floor staff at the Veterans hospital in Alexandria and all of his family and friends for their prayers. Survivors include his wife, Paula Lalumandier Forster of New Iberia; his mother, Doris Dot Migues Boudreaux also of New Iberia; his uncle Teddy Migues and wife Carolyn of North Carolina; his aunt, Zita Migues of Delcambre; numerous cousins and his loving pets, Snuggles and Ellie. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Leo Forster Sr.; step-father, J.P. Boudreaux; maternal grandparents, Bertrand and Lulu David Migues and paternal grandparents, Sylvester and Kate Forster.
