Youngsville " A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Clarence Shake Joseph Schexnayder, 57, will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Hope Alive Freedom Church with Pastor Tony Bailey officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held after the service at a family member's home. A native of Lafayette and resident of Youngsville, Mr. Schexnayder passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011. Shake was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a mechanic, a carpenter, a plumber and an electrician. From a young age he could fix or rig almost anything. When he grew older he joined the Army and then became a graphic designer. He met and married Alyse and had twin daughters, followed by two wonderful grandchildren, whom he adored and loved. He is survived by his wife, Alyse Schexnayder of Youngsville; his daughters, Amy Chivonne Schexnayder of Youngsville and Angie Marie Schexnayder Richard of Lafayette; two granddaughters, Harlie Chivonne Mouille of Youngsville and Madison Alyse Richard of Lafayette; his mother, Mildred Trahan Schexnayder of Lafayette; his sister, Judy Champagne of Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Curley Schexnayder; two brothers, John Schexnayder and Donald Schexnayder; and a sister-in-law, Linda Schexnayder.
