Loreauville- Funeral services for Mrs. Lester Decuir, the former Grace Marie Breaux will be conducted on Friday May 27, 2011 at 2:00PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday May, 26, 2011 at 5:00PM and end at 9:00PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00AM until time of services. Mrs. Decuir, age 88, was a native and longtime resident of Loreauville. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, creating artwork, and dancing. She also enjoyed traveling throughout the country and abroad. Survivors include her sons, Byron J. Decuir and wife Roseanne of Loreauville, Rickie I. Decuir of Loreauville, and Ferrell Decuir of Loreauville; daughters, Penny D. Dressel and husband Michael of Loreauville, and Scarlet D. Hazard and husband Bryant of Lafayette; grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Jared, Michael, Jacob, and Joseph Dressel, Kimberly, Ryan, Michael, Benjamin, Christopher, Caleb, Justin and Gretchen Marie Decuir, Cheramie Kennedy-Decuir, Jana Angelle, Kelly Sonnier and Hannah Covington ; and 15 great grandchildren. Mrs. Decuir is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Lester Decuir, her parents, Ademar Joseph Breaux Sr. and Amelie Dugas Breaux; one son, Parris Decuir; sisters, Annette Judice, Edith Andrus, Lula Judice, Pola Woodall, Inez Oubre, Daisy Ransonet, Aline Strothers, Elia Bienvenue, Nadge Broussard, and May Ransonet; brothers, Ademar Breaux Jr., Favie Breaux, Sidney Breaux, and Teuton Breaux. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Joshua Dressel, Jeremy Dressel, Michael Decuir, Benjamin Decuir, Ryan Decuir, Caleb Decuir, and Justin Decuir.
