Erath- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Kent David Nunez, 32,at 3:30Pm on Monday, April 11,2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath with Rev. Msgr. Douglas Courville, Pastor of St. Martin de tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Sunday, April 11, 2011 from 4:00PM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume Monday morning at 8:00AM at David Funeral Home of Erath at 8:00AM until time of services. Interment will follow services at LeBlanc Cemetery in Erath. A native of Erath and a resident of Oscar, LA Kent was a 1996 graduate of Erath High School. He was a band member and served as Drum Major of the Bobcat Marching Band. He attended McNeese University in Lake Charles; was a member of the Baton Rouge Chamber of Commerce and had just recently established his own business, kentdavidtravel.com He is survived by his parents, Scotty and Harriet Richard Nunez of Erath; two brothers, Scott C. Nunez and his wife Julia of Lafayette and Mark Nunez and his wife Amy of Erath; goddaughter, Addison Nunez; nephews, Logan Michael Nunez and Trey Dubois and his fiance'Jennifer Broussard all of Erath; godparents, Vickie Nunez of Erath, Susan Faciane of Henry and Billy LeBlanc of Youngsville; paternal grandparents, R.J. Nunez and Margarine Nunez of Erath; maternal grandmother, Agnes B. Richard of Abbeville and his two special canine friends, Bailey Renee and Jett. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Cleveland Richard; aunt, Sandra R. Broussard; uncle, Earlone Nunez; first cousin, Joshua LeBlanc; second cousin, Jena Richard and third cousin, Ryan Cassidy. Readings for the Mass will be done by Amy Nunez, Lori LeBlanc and Amy Nunez. Giftbearers will be Julia Nunez and Sara Duplechain. Rev.Weldon Bares will share a eulogy with family and friends.
