New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Lloyd L. Menard Sr. the former Lelia Hebert, age 91, at 11:00AM Tuesday May 17, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Jude Thierry officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be Monday May 16, 2011 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:30PM. Visitation will resume Tuesday from 8:00AM until service time. A native of St. Martinville and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Menard died Friday May 13, 2011 at 6:30AM at her daughters residence in Coteau. She loved dancing to French music, cooking and caring for her family. The family would especially like to thank the staff of Regional Hospice and her caregivers, Angela Bourque and Pamela Shelton for their dedicated and loving care. Survivors include her children, Sidney Menard and wife Joyce of New Iberia, Lloyd Menard Jr. and wife Ramona of Church Point, Hazel Menard Foreman and husband Jesse Sr. of New Iberia and Joyce Menard Patty-Knife and husband Paul of Coteau; 26 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. Menard Sr.; a daughter, Patsy Menard; her parents, Ernest and Calistie Dauphine Hebert; brothers, Ernest and Noah Hebert; sisters, Stephalia Frederick, Atillia Broussard, Elimire Sonnier, Palmire Champagne and Marie Orestine Latiolais and a son-in-law, Charles Patty. Pallbearers will be Jesse Foreman Jr., Sidney Michael, Chad William, Covey and Roy Menard, and Bobby and Andy Paul Bustamante.
