New Iberia " Funeral services will be conducted for Rena Ann Blanchard, 82, on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Msgr. Richard Greene officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM and resume on Sunday, November 17, 2013, at 9:00 AM until services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Saturday at 6:30 PM. A native of St. Martinville and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Blanchard passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013, at 4:15 PM at her residence. She retired as an Assembly Technician at the McIlhenny Company. She enjoyed playing solitaire and caring for her family. She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Gaspard, Nancy Picard both of New Iberia, Susan Maturin Mathis of Jonesboro and Alice Bouillion of Port Allen; her son, Willis Joseph Maturin, Jr. of New Iberia; her sister, Doris Duplantis of New Iberia; 17 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and 17 step-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Willis Joseph Maturin, Sr.; her 2nd husband, Dennis Domingue; her parents, Lazaire Blanchard, Sr. and Alazaire Albert Blanchard; her daughter, Anna Mae Maturin; her son, Billy Adam Maturin; her brothers, Whitney Blanchard, John Blanchard, Anthony Blanchard, Leonard Blanchard, Lazaire Blanchard, Jr., Sandys Blanchard and her sisters, Anna Belle Verret, Anaida Lasseigne and Anna Mae Blanchard. Pallbearers will be Chad Maturin, Nathan Mathis, Willis Flores, Gordy Maturin, Jessie Bouillion and Elvis Mestayer, Jr.. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Flores, Eric Gaspard, Russell Marceaux, Willis Maturin, Jr., Kenneth Maturin, Paul Maturin and Johnny Picard.
