Rosemary Weaver

August 3, 1922 — November 14, 2013

New Iberia- Rosemary Lee Weaver, a lifelong native of Louisiana was bornAugust 3, 1922in New Orleans and passed away November 14, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Dora Allen and James F. Lee, one sister Jane Lee Fox, a loving and devoted brother James Morris Pete Lee, a beloved Aunt Hilda Lee and two infant children. She is survived by a much loved niece and god-daughter, Marleen Mahoney Sirgo, an adopted nephew Scott Fox, and two nieces Andre Lee Sehrt and Stacie Lee Worsham.


Rosemary, Auntie , will always be remembered for her strength having cared for her mother and having raised her nephew. In addition, she survived numerous strokes since 1991. Her brother Pete cared for her until Hurricane Katrina caused their evacuation. She became a resident of New Iberia Manor North in New Iberia, Louisiana.


Auntie loved to cook and was known for her incredible New Orleans style bread pudding and whiskey sauce. She was also warmly known among the family as a tough food critic.


We would like to thank Dr. Paul Gulotta for his care and medical attention over the last 8 years, as well as Dean and Les Lancon for their love and attention. They became her lifeline and new adopted family. We are eternally grateful for the exceptional attention and care she received from all the staff at New Iberia Manor North.


Davids Funeral Home has arranged cremation, at Aunties request. A small graveside servicein New Orleans will be planned in the near future.
