Memorial services for Joseph O. "J.O." Mayard, 80, will be held Saturday November 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at David Funeral Home of Abbeville. Mr. Mayard a native of Abbeville passed away at his daughter's residence Tuesday,November 12, 2013, visitation will be held from 9:00a.m. until time of services. Mr. Mayard was a Korean War veteran having served with the US Navy. Mr. Mayard is survived by his two daughters Lisa and her husband Glynn Laviolette, and Maria and her husband Farley Painter Jr.; one son Phillip (Phil) and his wife Kelly Mayard; three grandchildren Darrell Mayard, Cy Laviolette, and Andre Painter; three step grandchildren Amber, David Jr., and Autumn Derouen; one sister Beverly Sellers; one brother Sterling Mayard. He was preceded in death by his wife Beverly C. Mayard; his parents Oneziphore and Alida Viator Mayard. David Funeral Home 2600 Charity St. Abbeville La. (337)893-3777 is in charge of arrangements.
