Jeanerette " Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Alfred G. Buteaux, Sr., the former Georgia Mae LeBlanc Hebert Buteaux, 78, on Monday, November 18, 2013, at 12:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Scott Dugas officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, November 17, 2013, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, November 18, 2013, at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Sunday at 6:00 PM. A native of New Iberia and a resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Buteaux passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at 5:30 AM at her residence. Georgia was a unique and loving soul. She taught us all to pray, love, live, and laugh! She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary many times a day for everyone in need of prayers. She was the proud leader of her great big family. She lived life to the fullest and was known for her amazing cooking. She cherished family gatherings and loved having slumber parties with her grandchildren. She loved to talk and never knew a stranger. She enjoyed entertaining at home, gardening and going to the casino where she could meet up with old friends and chat with people she knew. She also cherished her many facebook friends. She will forever be in the hearts of each and every one who knew her. She will be missed dearly by family and friends but we will all find peace knowing that she is in our future! She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alfred G. Buteau, Sr. of Jeanerette; her sons, Robert J. Bobby Buteaux and his wife Cynthia of New Iberia and Alfred Al Buteaux, Jr. of Jeanerette; his daughters, Brenda B. Landry and her husband Mark of New Iberia, Pamela B. Desormeaux of Galveston, TX, Kim B. Coleman and her husband Lat of New Iberia, Tracy B. Etie and her husband Terry of Loreauville and Lisa B. Himel and her husband Jed of New Iberia and her sisters, Peggy H. Klinger and Helen H. Dore and her husband Tommy all of New Iberia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robby Buteaux, Rebecca Buteaux McGee, Zack Buteaux, Zeb Buteaux, Renee Landry Saunier, Anita Landry Helveston, Virginia Landry Dunn, Jan Landry, Jennifer Desormeaux, Maxine Desormeaux Aguilar, Reggie Desormeaux, Hannah Coleman Hebert, Madeline Coleman, Marnie Ritter Hoyt, Kary Ritter, Logan Ritter, Samantha Ritter, Olivia Himel and Evan Himel; her great grandchildren, Chase Buteaux, Kamryn Buteaux, Gunner Buteaux, Gabrielle McGee, Nicholas McGee, Justin Buteaux, Gage Buteaux, Sadie Mae Buteaux, Rylee Buteaux, Britian Saunier, Drew Helveston, Alex Helveston, Collin Helveston, Gabe Dunn, Aubrey Dunn, Jules Landry, Alyssa Vela, Beau Desormeaux, Ava Aguilar, Lila Mae Aguilar, Bailey Desormeaux, Ellery Hoyt, Dylan Hoyt, Reese Hoyt and a future great grandchild, Lilly Claire Hebert; her step-grandchildren, Tessie Etie Baehr, Stacie Etie Molaison and Travis Etie Molaison; her step-great grandchildren, Christian Etie, Joshua Etie, Angelle Etie, Gabrielle Etie, Zachariah Baehr, Brainna Baehr, Ellianna Baehr, Kali Delcambre, Breanna Serette, Eric Delcambre and Gavin Delcambre. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilton LeBlanc and Lillia Mae Comeaux LeBlanc Hebert; her step-father, Frank Hebert; her son-in-law Kevin J. Desormeaux; her brother-in-law, Kelley Klinger and her great grandchild, Jaden T. Buteaux. Pallbearers will be Robert J. Bobby Buteaux, Mark A. Landry, Lat Coleman, Terry Etie, Jed Himel and Kenneth Ritter, Jr. MD. Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred Al Buteaux, Jr., Bobby Buteaux, Zack Buteaux, Zeb Buteaux, Reggie Desormeaux, Kary Ritter, Logan Ritter and Tommy Dore.
