New Iberia- Funeral services for Mr. William Bob Robert Jones will be conducted on Monday June 27, 2011 at 1:00PM with Reverend David Denton officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will begin on Sunday June 26, 2011 at 4:00PM and conclude at 8:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday at 8:00AM until service time. Bob , as he was affectionately known as, passed away Thursday June 23, 2011 at 5:31PM at a local healthcare facility. He was 82 years old. Mr. Jones retired after 33 years as a superintendent of the McDermott Company. In his free time, Mr. Jones enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was also a devoted member of his church, Highland Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Daisy Gilcrease Jones of New Iberia; sons, Charles Jones and wife Annette of Alabama, Mitch Jones and wife Tammy of Alabama; daughters, Dian Blizzard and husband John of Memphis, Tenn., Kim Finck and husband John of Mena, AR., and Sharon Hale of Houston, Tx.; Special Friend, Brenda Imler; Grandchildren, Perry Jones of Alabama, Brook Dwyer and husband Tim of Corpus Christi, Tx., Heather Shepard and husband Adam of Humble, Tx., Travis Finck of Fayetteville, Ar., Melissa Lee and husband Tyler of Harrison, Ar., and Danny Jones of Alabama; great-grandchildren, Robert Hale Dwyer of Corpus Christi, Tx., Sarah Riley Dwyer of Corpus Christi, Tx., William Finck of Mena, Ar., and Beckham Lee of Harrison, Ar; and one brother, Lavon Jones and wife Thelma of Orlando, Fl. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Eunice Casey Jones; and one grandson, Ryan Hunter Jones. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be John Blizzard, John Finck, Tim Dwyer, Warren Duplantis, Tyler Lee, Travis Finck, Don Louviere, and Don Carter.
