Marian Lemaire Broussard

A native and resident of Jefferson Island, Marian died Tuesday June 28, 2011 at 1:25PM at her residence. Marian was a hairdresser for 20 years.

The family would especially like to thank Dr. Jacob LaHasky, Louisiana Hospice and Palative Care, Chaplain Patrick Braquet, social worker Brandi Harmon, Nurse Vicky Koseck and CNA Dorrine Sherrere for their exceptional care and compassion. Also a special thanks to Father Barry Crochet and Father Herb Bennefield and a very special thanks to Tina McClelland for the care and love given to Marian.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Howard J. Broussard of Jefferson Island; one son; Karl Phillip Broussard and fianc Tina O. McClelland and her son, Justin Corkran of New Iberia; one daughter, Angela B. Babineaux and husband Brad of New Iberia; grandchildren Kesla R. Broussard, Demi Kay Broussard and Addison Katherine Babineaux all on New Iberia; one sister, Alco Hall of Alabama; a special person who was like a daughter to Marian, Terri C. Dupuy and husband Kevin of Baton Rouge and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Ouida Dore LeMaire and two brothers, Valery Bud LeMaire and Wade Lemaire.

Pallbearers will be Brad Babineaux, Richard Ricky Upton Sr., Guy Dugas, Sr., Glenn Dore, Richard Upton Jr., Kevin Dupuy and Guy Dugas, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Bouillion and Gene Upton.
