Dorothy David Laperouse

New Iberia " Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Carroll Laperouse the former Dorothy David, Age 82, at 3:00PM Friday October 28, 2011 at St. Peters Catholic Church with Father Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday October 27, 2011 from 4:30PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary being prayed at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Friday from 9:00AM until service time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to either to the American Diabetes Association or the Parkinsons Disease Foundation. A native and lifelong resident of Iberia Parish, Mrs. Laperouse died Sunday October 23, 2011 at 5:00PM in a New Iberia health care facility. Mrs. Laperouse enjoyed needlework and traveling. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Peters Catholic Church and a CCD religion teacher. The family would especially like to thank the residents and staff of both Azalea Estates Assisted Living and New Iberia Manor North nursing home and the Sisters Care Sitting Service for their love and care. Survivors include her husband Carroll Laperouse, three daughters, Susan Lissard and husband Joey and Gayle Laperouse both of New Iberia and Barbara Austin and husband Bill of St. Augustine, Florida, a brother, Johnny David and wife Denise of New Iberia, grandchildren, Leslie Chambers and Eric Lissard and wife Jerri Ann both of New Iberia, Maggie Bostick of Oakland, California, Matthew Bostick and wife Hollie of Memphis, Tennessee and Ryland and Elle Austin both of St. Augustine, Florida, great grandchildren, Clay, Emma and Drew Chambers and Tyler, Luke and Jake Lissard all of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lionel and Beulah Comeaux David. Pallbearers will be Johnny David, Joey and Eric Lissard, Bill and Ryland Austin, Matthew Bostick, Stephen Laperouse and James Patout. David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St. New Iberia, La.
