Milton " Funeral Services for John J.J. Broussard, 47, will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Lafayette with Pastor Bobby Richard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 11:00AM until 10:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM by Justin Blanchard. Visitation will resume on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. Interment will follow at The Broussard Family Cemetery in Milton. A native of Lafayette and a resident of Breaux Bridge Mr. Broussard died at 7:31AM on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Lafayette General Medical Center. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army; did paint and body work; and enjoyed fishing, gardening, and being with family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Mary Fletcher of Breaux Bridge; a son, Phoenix Broussard of Cecilia; a daughter, Bria Broussard of Cecilia; two brothers, Roger Broussard of Breaux Bridge and T-Roy Broussard of Broussard; three sisters, Tootie Bertrand of Breaux Bridge, Vickie Manuel of Shekou, China, and Gina Andrus of Breaux Bridge; the mother of his children, Geraldine Taylor Broussard of Cecilia; nine nephews; and five nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Broussard; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Valerie Trahan Broussard; his maternal grandparents, John H. and Alice Dupree Fletcher; a niece, Torie Broussard; and a nephew, Justin Delahoussaye. Serving as pallbearers will be T-Roy Broussard, Garrett Dodo Sonnier, Corwyn Fauche Sonnier, Chad Boutte, Scott Daigle, and Beau Bertrand. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Phoenix Broussard, Roger Broussard, Alton Theriot, and Bria Broussard.
