Carolyn Picard Stevens Broussard

Jeanerette- Funeral services will be conducted for Carolyn Picard Stevens Broussard, age 55, Thursday August 4, 2011 at 1:00pm at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday August 4, 2011from 9:00am until service time with recitation ofthe Rosary at 11:00am.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Carolyn died Saturday July 30, 2011 at 5:59AM at Dauterive Hospital. Carolyns hobbies included playing cards, bingo, and trips to the casino, dancing and fishing. Her most cherished times were family gatherings.

She is survived by her sons, Jace Stevens, Jr. and wife Angel of Gonzales; Billy Stevens and wife Rebecca, David Stevens and wife Lisa, Robert Blue Stevens and wife Lori, all of Jeanerette; step-children, Chad Broussard of New Iberia; Kevin Broussard of Jeanerette; Bruce Broussard of Jeanerette and Tracie Broussard of Gonzales; brothers, Raymond Picard, Jr. and wife Elizabeth and Kent Picard, Sr. and wife Mary Jo, all of Jeanerette; sisters, Annette Derise and husband Terry of Jeanerette and Jackie Stevens and husband James of Lydia; step-brother, Allen Lacamus and wife Monique of Delcambre; grandchildren, Dylan Romero, Bailey Stevens, Megan Stevens, Tyler Stevens, Zachery Scofield, Layne Stevens, Nicholas Scofield, Emma Stevens, Jonathon Stevens, Carli Broussard and Virginia Stevens,step-grandchildren, Erin, Zachary, Troy, Matthew, Ryan and Myles Broussard and Kylie Copp.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Jace Stevens, Sr., second husband, Glenn Broussard, her parents, Raymond Picard, Sr. and Ella Mae LeBlanc Picard, step-father, Harry Pop Lacamus, sister, Jacqueline Potty Landry and half-brother, Earl Paul Lacamus.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jace Stevens, Jr., Billy Stevens, David Stevens, Robert Blue Stevens, Kent Roscoe Picard, Jr. and Jeremy Picard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Picard, Jr., Kent Picard, Sr., Allen Lacamus, James Stevens, Joshua Stevens, Jake Stevens, Blake Stevens, Ronald Landry, Ian Bertrand, Jacob Picard, Evan Picard and Ricky Hernandez.
