Barron James Bergeron

New Iberia- Memorial services will be conducted for Barron James Bergeron, age 47, Saturday August 27, 2011 at 10:30AM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin Saturday at 9:30AM until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bergeron died Friday April 29, 2011. He was employed at Rowan Drilling Company for 15 years. Barron was a true outdoorsman; he loved trolling, fishing and hunting. The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone, especially the companies that aided in the search for recovery.

Mr. Bergeron is survived by his wife of 25 years, Michelle Chevalon Bergeron of New Iberia; his mother, Clara Comeaux Bergeron of Lydia; his children, Britney Stoutes, Brandon Bergeron and Hayley Bergeron, all of New Iberia; sisters, Melissa B. Kapp and husband Chris of Lydia and Celeste B. Lavergne and husband Rggie of Church Point; grandchildren, Bailey and Miles Theriot, both of New Iberia; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vicki and Huey Chevalon of New Iberia; and sister-in-law, Stephanie C. Dogay and husband Henry of New Iberia.

Mr. Bergeron was preceded in death by his father, Raymond RJ Bergeron, Jr., paternal grandparents, Raymond Bergeron, Sr. and and Ida Celeste Bergeron, maternal grandparents, Eno and Sophie Comeaux.
